Online Activism and the role of social media

Online Activism:

By commenting, blogging, tweeting, text-ing, we are actually spreading the word to as many people as we can... It is called as virtual volunteering!

Media Activism such as internet activism and hacktivism play a very BIG role in the civilized world today.

Examples include Egypt revolution, UK protests, Anonymous, PGA protests at Geneva, 2000 US presidential election vote recount, IAC etc.

So to all those critics who say "people can only comment on Facebook and cannot do anything to bring change" just STFU.. At least the people who are spreading the message are doing their part of volunteering to bring change.. what have you done?

"BritishRaj" vs "GandhiRaj or CongressRaj"

Earlier it was BritishRaj in India... then the bastard Nehru came in power, divided the nation and his dynasty is successfully running "GandhiRaj or CongressRaj" . India is still divided in terms of caste, language, social and economic disparity.. Therefore, I doubt that the "Anna revolution" will be a success.. History has proven that Indians were never united.. (ex. Bhagat Singh and Azad vs takla Gandhi, Laxmibai vs traitor kings, Netaji Bose vs takla Gandhi, etc.)

The Indian independence was a result of the INA's revolt, Bombay mutiny and the killings by revolutionaries... Britishers still thank takla Gandhi and their dog Nehru as the non violence theory was not killing the British people.. Hence, takla Gandhi is made famous and described as a hero in history books (inspired by Britishers and their dogs) while people like Netaji Bose, Bhagat Singh are criticized in the books.
